Civil contractors are making excellent headway as they commence clearing some of the existing kerbs and paving. The fast-paced progress is possible due to the co-operation of pedestrians, motorists and business owners who are working with the traffic management and pedestrian controls put in place. The Shire of Irwin appreciates that these temporary measures are being supported by the businesses and public, encouraging works to progress without delay.

Thanks to last weeks progress, this week will see work commencing to modify the drainage near the IGA and Point Leander roundabout. Traffic management will be changed at each roundabout with detours remaining in place as the work is undertaken. 

Trenching for new electrical cables will also take place in the centre of the road in preparation for the new lighting installations. 

This will see the completion of Stage 1 of the Moreton Terrace Renewal.
