Effective Monday 22 March 2021, the Shire of Irwin implemented paid camping with fees applied to all camping along Indian Ocean Drive within the Shire of Irwin.

If you are a ratepayer in the Shire of Irwin, you are entitled to 10 x nights camping at no charge each financial year. All other visitors will be charged $20 per vehicle per night.

Ratepayers can obtain camping vouchers by contacting the Shire Administration Office in person or by calling 9927 0000. Vouchers can be collected in person, sent via email or posted to the ratepayer's residential address.

RV Overnight Stay

Effective 31 August 2021, the RV Overnight Stay at the Dongara Town Oval is open for a trial period of up to 12 months. 

The site caters for self-contained RV/Caravans only, at a rate of $10 per vehicle with a Patrol Officer visiting daily to collect fees via cash or EFTPOS.

A maximum of 1 night stay is permitted. 

Please respect other visitors and residents during your stay and make use of the rubbish bins and dump point facility provided.
