Skate Park

Skate park

225 Ocean Drive, Port Denison

The skatepark is available for all to use. The Shire does advise that children under the age of 10 should be supervised by a responsible adult and protective gear should be worn at all times.

The Skatepark is unsupervised and all users do so ‘at your own risk’.

Early 2017 the Shire of Irwin contracted CONVIC to work with the community to help create a concept design for the skate park and immediate surrounding area.

The Concept design that was presented to the community and to Council has been budgeted and staged to allow for completion over several years.

Mid 2018 the Shire completed Stage 1:  the completion of earthworks, removal of the existing BMX track, set up for hard and soft landscape works as required and the addition of terrace walls.

The Shire received $250,000 from Lotterywest for a new pump bike track next to the skate park.

We are excited to push forward with design and construction for completion by mid-late 2020.
