Asphalting work is due to start Monday, 20 September including the Brand Highway back to the Point Leander Drive roundabout and completed in time for the Midwest Show & Shine and Denison Foreshore Sprint on Sunday, 26 September. Extensive road closures are expected during these works.
Kerbing work will commence the following week with intermittent road closures throughout the first week of the school holidays. Traffic management will be in place throughout the works program to keep traffic flowing and pedestrians safe.
The 4 Stages of the renewal are as detailed below:
STAGE 1 – COMPLETE
STAGE 2 – CONTINUING
Asphalting the final section of the Moreton Terrace between the Brand Highway and Point Leander Drive roundabout is scheduled Monday, 20 September to Friday, 24 September. This will be followed by kerbing and paving works scheduled to begin Tuesday, 28 September.
STAGE 3 – CONTINUING
Line marking and installation signage will follow the completion of all road works.
STAGE 4 – COMMENCED
Power to the streetlights through the town centre, including the roundabouts lights, is subject to Western Power providing the connection.
