Additional Information

Additional information as follows:

  • This infrastructure is part of a State wide study with installations currently in place or in progress from Fremantle to Exmouth.
  • The installation will be undertaken by local contractors, with the antennae mounted on pre-cast concrete footings which will be lifted into position under low wind conditions.
  • No vegetation is to be disturbed during the installation or ongoing operations of the infrastructure.
  • The cabling (5V DC) connecting the two antennae will be routed to minimise sand disturbance and will be buried at a depth not exceeding 30 cm, in shallow trenches dug by hand to minimise sand drift. It does not pose a safety or fire risk.
  • The Applicant has prepared a Dust Management Plan to ensure sand drift is minimised throughout the installation.
