Plant Operator Labourer (Full-time, Permanent)

The Shire of Irwin invites suitably qualified and experienced applicants for the role of Plant Operator Labourer in order to deliver on Council’s core responsibilities in maintaining and providing a safe road network.

Position Objectives

The Plant Operator Labourer undertakes operational activities associated with the provision of road infrastructure services to the Shire of Irwin, including operation and maintenance of plant and machinery.

The Plant Operator Labourer shall participate as an active member of the team in performing other duties, including: general operation of other plant types, maintenance and labour duties as reasonably directed within known skills, knowledge and capabilities.

Working under the supervision of the Coordinator Rural Maintenance, this role assists to ensure that works are completed to the required standard and in a timely manner, in accordance with set programs, budgets and in compliance with all relevant legislation, Shire policies, procedures and applicable Australian Standards.

Salary and Conditions

To attract the right person with a brilliant blend of skills, knowledge and experience, the Shire is offering the position an hourly pay rate of up to $26.5745 (dependent on qualifications and experience) and up to 14.5% superannuation (subject to a personal contribution being made). Other benefits and employment conditions are in accordance with the Local Government Industry Award 2010 and the National Employment Standards.
