Containers for Change

The Shire of Irwin have partnered with Western Australia Return Recycle Renew and opened a Containers for Change Refund Point at the Dongara Recycling Centre.
Important Information
If you are new to the scheme or just don't have one yet, a scheme ID is a great way to receive your refund straight into your bank account.

Accepted at the Transfer Station includes:

Please ensure containers are not contaminated and lids are removed to assist with faster processing.
Domestic Customers
Where? Irwin refund point
Dongara Transfer Station (Dee Street, Port Denison)
How? Option 1 - Over the counter refund
- Bring eligible containers to the Refund Point where they will be counted and refunds processed directly into your scheme ID account or by cash.
* To reduce wait times in the start up phase limits apply to 150 containers per transaction
Option 2 - Bag drop
Bring containers in a bag clearly marked with your:
- Scheme ID
- Name & phone number
and place in the express 'Bag n Go' area. Refuds will be processed into your scheme account or by cash.
Option 3 - Donate
Take your eligible containers to the Community Resource Centre where your refund will go back into the community.

How? Bulk delivery arrangements
- Drop off your containers in agreed storage infrastructure clearly marked with your Scheme ID.
- Refunds will be processed directly into your scheme ID account within five (5) business days.

Important Information Bulk claim arrangement and service agreement
- Bulk claim agreements are required for all groups / organisations for quantities in excess of 1,500 containers / transaction.

9927 0000 to obtain a bulk claim agreement.
