The Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997  covers assigned noise levels. 

These levels are set for different types of premises receiving noise at various times of the day.

The Shire of Irwin no longer conducts private water sampling. 

Please contact PathWest if you wish to get your tank water tested, they will send you the required equipment and information.

The Shire’s Environmental Health Officer (EHO) monitors and conducts water sampling for the following;

• Aquatic facilities (Public Pools)
• Recreational Waters (Ocean and river locations)

Report the following to the Shire of Irwin;

Water pollution 

• residential or small to medium business pollution-related matters

Land pollution

• residential or small to medium business pollution-related matters
• littering
• demolition or illegal dumping of asbestos

Air pollution

• residential or small to medium business pollution-related matters
  •  domestic and backyard burning
  • smoky chimneys
• odours from residential or small to medium business premises (including from keeping animals)

Noise pollution

• residential or small to medium business premises
• air conditioners
• concerts
• construction
