Community Assistance Scheme (CAS) grants are available for not-for-profit community-based organisations, event organisers or individuals with a project idea that will benefit our community.

Those planning an event, project or activity you can apply for up to $5,000 in funding. Previous projects have included the creation of the heritage trail brochures by the Irwin District Historical Society and the Midwest Autumn Craft Roundup event.

CAS is facilitated by a committee comprised of two elected Council Members, two Shire staff and two participating members of the community.

The Shire of Irwin is currently seeking a committee member to help facilitate the CAS grant application process.

We are looking for a community member who is

• Passionate about the Shire of Irwin Community
• Interested in community projects, activities and events
• Available to attend committee meetings (approximately 5 per year during business hours)
