Meet the Shire’s new Community Ranger team

The Shire of Irwin has appointed two new community rangers to assist and educate the community on issues relating to animal control, litter, parking, fire management, straying stock, abandoned vehicles and camping.

The new Community Rangers, Russell and Selwyn will ensure that public safety and community expectations are met. They will provide a variety of services aimed at safeguarding our community, including the enforcement of numerous Acts of Parliament, Local Laws and regulations.

Russell has relocated from Perth having recently worked at the City of Swan as a Community Safety Advocate for nearly 6 years. He has extensive experience working as a Ranger.

Selwyn has also relocated from the City of Swan where he worked as a Community Safety Advocate for the last 4 months. Selwyn is an emerging Ranger who aims to provide quality customer service to the community on complex and difficult matters.

With the appointment of Russell and Selwyn, the Community Ranger service will be available seven days a week.
