Friday 21 May saw the successful completion of Stage 1 of the Moreton Terrace renewal project. Regrettably, Stage 2 has experienced delays due to the recent heavy rains. The road surface profiling and asphalting works are now being rescheduled, taking into consideration long-term weather forecasts to avoid any further delays. Updated project work dates will be provided as they are made available

To minimise any further disruptions, effective 24 May and until further notice, Moreton Terrace will be reopened to traffic. Fencing will remain in place as a safety precaution and parking adjacent to most businesses will be open. However, street parking will continue to be unavailable.

Project works have been redirected with disruptions expected at the intersection of Brand Highway and Point Leaner Drive including the roundabout, while drainage infrastructure is being renewed. Traffic management will be in place to effectively manage and minimise any delays caused by the works.
