The Dongara Junior Football Club has had a late start to the 2020 season due to coronavirus. However training has commenced and games are aniticpated to follow in Term 3. The DJFC have teams in both the Great Northern Junior Football League and the North Midlands Junior Football League. Breezes Netball Club

The Breezes Netball Club has both junior and senior teams competing as part of the Geraldton Netball Association. Training is held at the Irwin Rec Centre and games are played in Geraldton.

Net Set Go

Net Set Go is a program for children aged between 5 and 10 years. This is held during winter sports season on Thursday afternoons 4.30pm to 5.30pm at the Irwin Rec Centre.

The Irwin Rec has 4 x lawn and 2 x artificial grass tennis courts. The artificial grass courts are available for hire all year round and are fully lit for night games.

Private hire of the courts: 

• $14.50 per hour per court for day hire
• $24.00 per hour per court for night hire (includes lighting)

The Irwin Rec has 2 x outdoor basketball / netball courts. These are open for use by casual users at all times at no charge.

The Dongara Basketball Association runs both junior and senior competitions as well as Country Champs each year. The junior basketball competition is very popular with players and spectators filling the Irwin Rec Centre for Thursday night games.

Irwin Rec Centre Gymnastics offers skills-based classes from levels 1 to 3 under Gymnastics WA Guidelines. 

Level 1 (entry level class)

•  Held Monday 3.30pm - 4.30pm
• $80 per term

Level 2

• Held Monday 4.30pm - 6.00pm
• $100 per term

Level 3

• Held Wednesday 4.45pm - 6.45pm
• $120 per term

Gymnatics WA Fees

In addition to the term costs above, all gymnasts are required to pay membership and insurace fees to Gynastics WA: 

• Levels 1 & 2: $47 per year
• Level 3: $75 per year
