Administration Trainee

Congratulations and welcome to Sarah Waight, who was the successful applicant for the Administration Trainee position.

Sarah has started work at the Recreation Centre for a 4 month period and then will commence work at the Administration Centre and the Library/Visitor Centre.

Emergency Kits

Having an emergency kit is an important step to prepare and protect your household for emergencies. Kits should be stored in a water proof storage container and kept in an accessible place known to all household members. Supplies should be regularly checked to ensure provisions are fresh and safe to use. Copy or scan important documents onto a CD or memory stick to include in your kit )i.e. birth certificates, wills passports, etc). Also, consider how you can protect sentimental items and how to store them in a secure location.

Cat Act Requirements

From 1 November 2013 the full Cat Act 2011 comes into effect. This means all domestic cats in Western Australia, over six months of age, will need to be sterilised, microchipped and registered with their local government.

The aim is to encourage responsible cat ownership. Your cat will be required to wear a collar and registration tag to ensure they can be easily identified and returned to you if they become lost.
For more information on the new requirements for cat owners visit
