The Shire of Irwin would like to encourage interested parties to subscribe to our weekly online newsletter.

The newsletter will contain information from this bulletin as well as any important notices from the Irwin Rec and the Tourist Centre /Library.

Important Digital Television Update

As a result of the Shire’s continuing advocacy and public feedback provided to the Digital Television Liaison Officer who visited last week, the Shire of Irwin has now been determined as a Satellite Subsidy Scheme Appeal Zone. This means all residents can now apply for the Satellite Subsidy Scheme.

You are therefore encouraged to act now to access the subsidy as it will only be available up until a month after the switchover (25 July 2013)

Draft Corporate Business Plan

The Shire of Irwin is on track to submit an adopted Corporate Business Plan to the Department of Local Government as part of the Integrated Planning Framework requirements.

The Corporate Business Plan , together with the Strategic Community Plan (adopted in October 2012) will be the Shire’s Plan for the Future and is intended to create a vision for the future viability of the local government and the community.

Water Wise Verge Workshop - Postponed

Active Bodies

Registration for Active Bodies is still open, please contact the Irwin Rec on 9955 9200 now. The program is due to commence 6 June and run for a period of 8 weeks. This is a program aimed at encouraging children to interact with others whilst learning new skills. These 45 minute sessions will be run every Thursday at 4.30pm for the 8 week period.
