Digital Television Switchover Liaison Officer

Residents who may be experiencing issues with digital TV reception or  wish to provide feedback on the switchover please check out the latest update from the Digital Ready taskforce provided within this week’s Rag.

The great news is a Digital Switchover Liaison Officer has been appointed by Regional Development Australia in the Midwest to take up any issues that we may be experiencing and help guide residents to get an acceptable service. Residents will have an opportunity to meet with the officer to raise specific concerns. In the meantime you are encouraged to follow the steps set out in the flyer and should this not be successful, know that a real person will be able to consider your situation.

Please watch this space for information on how to contact  the Liaison Officer and when they will be visiting the Shire of Irwin.

Boat Ramp Feasibility Study and Foreshore Master Plan Workshops

If you missed the recent workshops on the Boat Ramp Feasibility Study and Foreshore Master Plan but you are interested to view the presentation provided by the consultants or you wish to know the outcomes of the two workshops please visit our website, or email
projects@irwin.wa.gov.au. A copy of the Concept Plans can also be viewed on this page.

Tourism Developments

Last week, the Shire of Irwin provided a guided tour to representatives from the City of Greater Geraldton to discuss a proposal to attract cruise ship visitors (in Geraldton) to do day tours in Dongara/ Port Denison. It is hoped we will provide the first tour to a cruise ship group in November 2013. This will be a very exciting tourism opportunity and a great way to attract international visitors.
