Public Workshop for the Strategic Community Plan – This Thursday!

We need your help!

A reminder that all members of the Irwin Community are cordially invited and encouraged to attend a public workshop on Thursday 29 March 2012 at the Irwin Recreation Centre, Ridley Street, Port Denison between 5.00pm and 7.00pm to provide input into the development of the Shire's first Strategic Community Plan.

This independently-facilitated (i.e. free from Councillor and Staff involvement) Workshop has been structured to allow participants the option to attend according to their own needs whilst having the opportunity to have your say on how you would like to see the Irwin Community develop over the next 10 or more years. (You could attend for as short a time as 10 minutes or for the full 2 hours).

If you are unable to attend the Workshop, the online version of the related Community Survey is available for you to access through the Shire's website ( or at the following URL: Alternatively, a printed version of the survey has been sent to all local households and post office boxes. When completed, there is reply paid envelope to post the surveys back free of charge or there are deposit boxes at the Shire office and Irwin Rec.
